The Canadian tourism industry has reported an exceptional growth of 14% with outstanding rate of 2.5 million Canadian passengers.

It can be easily considered that Canadian residents have been the supporters of Caribbean since a long time and have increased the tourism numbers tremendously in the region as told by Hugh Riley, Executive officer of CDTC (Caribbean Development Tourism Company) and provisional general secretary of CTO. The most recent statistics have revealed that Canada preserves one of top tourism markets of Caribbean region.

Canada is presenting strong hold up to Caribbean area from tour planners as well as extra spending from air carriers. As a result, the Caribbean is ongoing to spend in some new products throughout the year 2009, with resort and hotels openings and developments across the region.
