NCL names third generation Freestyle cruise ship
Set for a May 2010 christening and launch, NCL's biggest Freestyle cruising ship yet at 150,000 gross tones and carrying 4,200 passengers, will be named Norwegian Epic. Following a series of inaugural events in Europe and the USA. Norwegian Epic will be homeported in Miami, sailing year round in the Caribbean. There will be two basic programmes, each of seven days to the western and the eastern caribbean port of call, NCL will start taking bookings in May 2009
The Norwegian Epic, is under construction at STX Europe in St. Nazaire, France, and has now reached a milestone last week when the ship’s bow was lowered into place.
