Celebrity Cruises will take one of its new ships, Celebrity Solstice, out of the European route next year, to redeploy in the Caribbean all year round. This means that a number of 12 night sailings that were to take place on the Celebrity Equinox in 2010 have been cancelled as Equinox will now replace Solstice in sailing out of Rome for the summer of 2010. Sailings for Eclipse, which will home-port in Southampton, and Constellation will not be altered.
Solstice will be the first year round ship in the Caribbean for Celebrity in five years and the company as a whole will have seven ships in the Caribbean seasonally for 2010 to 2011, giving 155 sailings from Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
