Cunard’s 2011 World Voyages will go on sale on July first this year, because they get booked up so fast and so early. Worth looking at is the fantastic schedule being offered on the Queen Mary 2 who will be making an east-west passage, sailing from New York. This, her fourth world voyage, has some interesting new tweaks. Classically she’ll sail to Fort Lauderdale before making the traditional circuit of the Caribbean and South America, visiting Barbados, Brazil and Uruguay. Then she heads for Cape Town, South Africa.
After Cape Town she sails to Mauritius and on to Australia where an overnight stay in Sydney will allow people to experience the delights of the city, although those wanting to enjoy a performance at the Opera House will need to book their tickets for that just as early as they do their cruise. After Sydney there is the traditional stop in New Zealand but an interesting visit to Guam before China and Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, India, Dubai and Egypt from which she makes the Suez Canal transit allowing her to visit Italy, Monaco, Spain and a final stop in Southampton to complete the tour, before returning to New York after a 103 trip!
