Three Mediterranean cruises compared

If you like cruising the Mediterranean, there’s a lot on offer at present:

Let’s start with a Costa Cruises eight-night Eastern Mediterranean cruise sailing from Venice on Costa Serena – there are a number of sailings in August next year and the cruise visits Italy, Greece, Turkey and Croatia – you can enjoy the luxury on this cruise with a grand suite with balcony, flights and transfers all included in the price of £2,589 per person.

Then Oceania Cruises has an amazingly long cruise on Insignia. The 36-night Grand Circle of the Mediterranean cruise leaves Barcelona in mid April and travels to France. Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Tunisia, Malta and Corsica. Prices begin at £5,399 per person for the cruise alone.

Then SeaDream Yacht Club has a 10-night cruise from Venice to Rome, sailing on SeaDream I. You might think Venice to Rome is not much of a cruise, but on the way it takes in Croatia, Corfu, Sicily and Italy. Sailing in July 2010, it starts at £3,994 per person, excluding flights.
