Hurricane Bill Update

Hurricane Bill has increased his wind speed from the 75 mph we reported a couple of days ago, to a current 90 mph, and could still rise to 110 miles per hour!

Bill is currently whirling 635 miles east of the Eastern Caribbean and is expected to become a major hurricane later today – several cruise ships have already changed route but today Carnival Glory has changed route – instead of calling at St Maarten today, she will stay at sea and replace the sea day she should have had tomorrow with an unscheduled stop in Grand Turk. The Royal Caribbean and NCL ships in the area are not currently reporting changes to itineraries, which all goes to point out how important it is to respect the need to be flexible when sailing the Caribbean in hurricane season.
