Hurricane cruise ship alterations

Even though Hurricane Bill has been downgraded again to a category 1 tropical cyclone (winds decreased to about 85 miles per hour) the scope of the storm warning has extended and several more cruise lines are changing itineraries:

1. Caribbean Princess, due to leave New York on 23rd August, is staying in port for another day, and missing out a call at Newport Rhode Island which puts it in the storm’s path.
2. Carnival Triumph sailed from New York last week, and has missed out a visit to St. John, New Brunswick, that should have taken place on 23rd August.
3. Holland America's Eurodam is swapping a port call in Chartlottetown, Prince Edward Island, in favour of a stop in Gaspe, Quebec.
4. Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas is swapping around some port calls to try and ensure it stays clear of the tropical storms.
