Eastern Caribbean & Perfect Day from Miami with Stay
Date: 30 May 2024
Duration: 10 nights
Ship: Icon of the Seas
Line: Royal Caribbean
Southampton is gearing up for nine visitors but that nine will generate thousands. The nine are cruise ships that will arrive at the port and leave it again during this Bank Holiday weekend, and nine ships in 48 hours is proving to be a record.
In addition to the passengers, many ‘gawkers’ are expected and the port will be open on Saturday and Sunday for free open-top bus tours that will give visitors a close view of the nine vessels. Bus journeys in the city centre, including the port, will be free for the whole weekend until 6pm, for visitors as well as residents.
On 29th, Independence of the Seas (RCI), Oceana (P&O), Black Watch (Fred Olsen), Queen Mary 2 (Cunard) and Grand Princess (Princess Cruises) will all arrive and depart.
On 30th, Oriana (P&O) will be followed by Ventura (also P&O) then Queen Victoria (Cunard) and Aurora (P&O) will be the last ship in and out.
