P&O Azura Interactive TV

The new P&O ship Azura will have the same Allin Interactive TV as features on her sister ship, Ventura. This allows for booking of events and excursions, specialist dining options and so on.

Azura will have 15 public decks and carry 3,100 passengers. The ship will offer 11 restaurants and the accommodation includes staterooms with more than 900 private balconies. Those restaurants will include Sindhu, brainchild of Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar. Sindhu means meeting point or fusion and the menu will offer a fusion of fine British and Indian cuisine. Olly Smith, the TV wine maven will be choosing wine for The Glass House whose menu will feature different wines recommended with each course, all served by the glass. He’ll also be sailing several times in the year to give tasting sessions to guests. Other entertainment offerings include an updated version of the classic London pub, a show lounge designed with the Big Apple in mind and a dance floor in the atrium.

There’s going to be an open-air cinema by the Aqua Pool and there’s a special spa deck area called The Retreat which has cabanas for massages.

There’s a great development for single travellers too – Azura is being built with 18 single cabins, which will be dedicated to the solo traveller, and there are also two ‘maxi’ suites which are suitable for large families or groups of friends sharing.
