Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa will launch two new restaurants aboard Crystal Symphony in 2008 – name Silk Road and The Sushi Bar, they will first be open during the ship’s March cruise from Los Angeles to Hong Kong and Nobu himself will be on the ship oversee the grand opening.
The innovative blend of classically-styled Japanese foods with South American and European influences has made Nobu an international brand. Dishes that will feature in the new restaurants include the signature yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño and tuna tataki with ponzu sauce in The Sushi Bar and at Silk Road, gourmets can tuck into lobster with truffle-yuzu sauce, saikyo miso black cod and beef with three distinctive sauces.
Astonishingly, there is no additional charge for enjoying Nobu's extraordinary cuisine and while reservations are recommended for Silk Road; dining at The Sushi Bar will be on a queuing basis. The new restaurants represent an expansion of Nobu's culinary alliance with Crystal Cruise, because the partnership dates back to 2003, when his cuisine was first enjoyed on board Crystal Serenity.
