On 4th June, in Monaco, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco named Silversea's new expedition ship - Prince Albert II. Yes, the ship is named for him! She will start her maiden voyage on June 12th with an expedition from London to the Arctic Circle and the 132 passenger ship aims to ‘capture an untapped market for people who want a high level of comfort even while voyaging to the ends of the Earth’, as Silversea says.
The new liner has unusual features such as its six spacious luxury suites that can be booked separately or together to create "multi-room mega suites". Prince Albert II will spend its maiden season sailing to Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland, Belize, Costa Rica, the Sea of Cortez, South America and Antarctica, with prices starting at just under £2,000 per person, based on double occupancy.
