Cruises and honeymoons

Weddings have changed recent years, and so have honeymoons. Recent research reveals that just one out of 10 British brides and grooms opted for a conventional honeymoon: others choosing more exotic locations, activity-based trips or holidays spent in the UK. 58% of newlyweds said beach resort holidays were old-fashioned and 64% of Scots wanted to avoid other honeymooners. Around one-third stayed in the UK for their honeymoon, while 15% enjoyed a city break, 9% went on an adventure holiday and 3% took a cruise.

The survey also revealed that 43% honeymooners planned activities to help break up the time, with one in five saying they worried they would get bored and 8% fearing they would argue with their partners.
