Speciality cruise simulators

Many major cruise lines offer speciality cruises where simulators can be hired by the hour, others go the full distance bringing golf pros onboard to give lessons and analyse swings. Most lines will also organize putting tournaments and escort foursomes to some of the golf worlds favourite courses.

In 2008, Silversea Cruises will feature its Silver Links golf programme on 12 itineraries for the Silver Shadow and Silver Whisper. The cruises will visit 35 courses in no less than 16 countries and islands from South Pacific, through the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and into Mexico. Among the headliners are Australia's Royal Melbourne, one of golf's topped-ranked layouts, Cape Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand, Sandy Lane in Barbados, Sainte Maxime Golf Club in the Riviera and the Monte Carlo Golf Club – where the layout sits 800 metres above the Cote d'Azur, perched on a promontory, and negotiating the hairpin turns that wrap around the rocky edges of Mont Agel is as demanding as the course itself.
