Hurtigrutens special interest cruise Gastronomy

Those who love Norwegian food, scenery and music, or just those who would like to learn more about this culture, will enjoy Hurtigruten’s special interest cruise Gastronomy in a Musical Framework, which aims to explore Norwegian culture while passing through the North Cape, the Lofoten Islands and, of course, several fjords.

For the more material-minded, and that’s material as in cloth and thread, there’s the Norwegian National Costume Cruise – a seven day trip which brings experts on Norwegian folklore to the passengers and gives them the chance to understand Norway better through a series of onboard historical lectures. Local folk crafts and costumes will also be on display at the various ports of call.

The Hurtigruten fleet combines more traditional ships with modern vessels and the Hurtigruten traditions of expert seamanship and local knowledge allow their vessels to extend beyond the Norwegian coastline - exploring Spitsbergen, Greenland and Antarctica.
