Bingo cruises is now big business

playcherry.com is a new venture by the public Swedish gambling group Cherryfortagen. Their aim is to make Internet gaming available to the millions of passengers aboard cruise ships in international waters.

Based in Malta, the group is working with the Entraction network to find ways of bringing cruise ships into networks so internet gambling in a variety of forms can be available when the ship is at sea. There is a potential market of up to 25 million passengers a year and internet access (internactivity as it is called in the business) has become one of the regular low level complaints for cruise passengers who are used to checking emails a dozen times a day and don’t expect to pay a fortune for the privilege, so the joint venture is being watched with great interest by the top end vessels who hope to learn from this about ways of bringing cost effective connectivity to their passengers – and not just for placing bets.
