Celebrity Cruises, great offers in Europe

Celebrity Cruises is offering some very special deals from its new European 2009 brochure. These deals include early booking savings of up to £400 per stateroom on bookings made before May 31st on fourteen night cruises, with up to £200 off seven to thirteen night cruises.

As part of the new offering, the new Solstice-class ships Celebrity Solstice, launching in December 2008, and Celebrity Equinox, due to launch in August 2009 will be visiting a range of new ports such as Portofino in Italy, Antwerp, La Coruna in Spain, Ashdod: a fascinating destination in Israel and the richly multicultural experience of Alexandria in Egypt.

New Cruise Destination – Dorset? More cruise ships from Miami and Fort Lauderdale in Florida could dock in the South West in the future following the promotional visit to America by a delegation from Destination South West. The visit was designed to promote Cornwall, Devon and Dorset ports to cruise companies around the world. The American cruise industry is the biggest market for the UK with more than a hundred ships booked into ports in the South West in 2009, but officials say there is scope for many more.

Bob Harrison, director of cruise operations for Destination South West, said the visit - which was part-funded by UK Trade & Investment - was "very successful". "We were able to meet all the cruise lines based in Miami and Fort Lauderdale and show them what the South West has to offer as a cruise trip destination and it was very well received."
