Caribbean cruise offers

The cruise industry in the Caribbean is still growing - new ships, new itineraries and novel shipboard activities are all adding to the range of cruise options available. There seems to be a move towards newer and less over-subscribed Caribbean destinations – so what’s on offer?

• Carnival Imagination will move to three-day Bahamas and four-day Western Caribbean cruises, starting from Miami, and beginning in September

• Holland America Line is offering longer, more port-intensive Caribbean cruises, offering holidays ranging from seven to 20 days

• Norwegian Cruise Lines has its own private island, Great Sturrup Cay, in the Berry Islands and this remains a popular offering

• Princess Cruise Line is offering two new itineraries: a Caribbean Collection 14-day voyage on Grand Princess featuring nine ports, including Curacao, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados and La Romana in the Dominican Republic; and three special Caribbean Calypso 14-day escapes on Royal Princess to several less-visited ports.
