Holland America Line has launched a cruise programme especially with British cruise travellers in mind, because it has a scheduled departure from Barbados, allowing holidaymakers the opportunity to combine a Southern Caribbean cruise with a stay on the island of Barbados.
From October 2008, guests cruising onboard the 1,258-passenger vessel MS Maasdam can embark and disembark in Barbados as part of the fourteen night Caribbean cruise which visits 11 ports including Castries and Soufriere in St Lucia, Pointe a Pitre in Guadeloupe and Philipsburg in St Maarten. The Maasdam then cruises on to Tortola in the British Virgin Islands followed by Half Moon Cay Island, Holland America’s own private island. This trip includes a pre-cruise hotel night in Barbados, and starts from £1,899 per person including flights.
