Ocean Village plans for 2009

A 2009 preview brochure goes on sale on April 21 featuring seven and 14-night holidays as well as a cruise-and-stay options. Ocean Village is to switch its two ships around for the 2009 Mediterranean season, and will be bringing its original ship back to Palma, Majorca. The line’s new ship, Ocean Village Two, will take over eastern Mediterranean cruises out of Heraklion, Crete, but will offer three itineraries, rather than two. The changes allow the line to add Venice, Cairo and Istanbul to the ports it visits.

Ocean Village Two will operate fortnightly Gateways and Gondolas cruises out of Venice next summer, with prices leading in at £699 per person. Its Cairo itinerary, Palaces and Pyramids, will operate in April and September, and leads in at £619. From Istanbul, Ocean Village Two will offer a Myths and Minarets itinerary between May and August, with prices starting at £749. The original Ocean Village ship will offer two seven-night itineraries next summer. Its Tapas and Togas cruises cost from £699 per person, while Emperors and Espresso sailings will start from £599 per person.
