Western Caribbean & Perfect Day from Miami with Miami Beach Stay
Date: 5 Mar 2026
Duration: 10 nights
Ship: Icon of the Seas
Line: Royal Caribbean
If you’ve never take a world cruise, here are a few things to consider before you book:
1. Work out how many sea days are included in the cruise. Many first-time circumnavigators get carried away by the number of ports they are going to visit and forget to think about the number of sea days between each port, and be sure they are happy to amuse themselves for those stretches of time.
2. Pick your vessel carefully – you will be spending months with your fellow passengers and on the ship – do you want to be surrounded by Americans on Royal Caribbean, packed in with Italians on Costa, or bracketed by Brits on Fred. Olsen? It makes a big difference if your culture and that of your fellow passengers is in tune.
3. If you don’t have the time and money to go all the way around, book a segment instead Never forget that a world cruise appeals to retired persons because they have the time and money to be away from the UK for several months – so if you have teenagers travelling with you, or you’re younger than the average passenger age, you may find yourselves somewhat in a minority.
