Cardiff cruise stop

The first turnaround cruise ship for a decade arrived this week at the capital city’s port. The 9,000-tonne Spirit of Adventure, which arrived at Associated British Ports’ Queen Alexandra Dock dropped off 165 passengers ending their mini-cruise from Greenock and took on another 350 people embarked for a seven-day trip ‘Celtic Legends’ which sales to Dublin and Belfast and the Isles of Scilly and Guernsey before terminating in Portsmouth. Cruise ships bring economic benefits for the city because a greater number of people will use Cardiff’s hotels and restaurants, and it seems many passengers enjoyed seeing the commercial docks as well as the attractions in Cardiff Bay and the rest of the city.
