Winter Cruise Deals To Cost More

Increased capacity in the Caribbean means that fares this winter will be competitive, but almost everywhere else there will be hikes in cost. There are between 10 and 15 per cent more passenger spaces in the Caribbean this winter, many of them on new ships which have a novelty factor for cruise passengers. As a result, other ships and lines are cutting prices to be attractive.

The downside is that cruise prices elsewhere might be on their way up from an all time low base. Locations that are likely to see price increases include Alaska and the Canadian region, Nordic cruises and those travelling to other environmentally sensitive areas.
