Azamara Cruise offers 2009
Posted on 21 Jun 2008
The Azamara brand, part of the Royal Caribbean/Celebrity family, is adding more destinations to its sailings – including 20 new ports and several overnight port stays - thanks to the success of its 2007 European sailings. Like many other cruise lines, Azamara Cruises is boosting its presence in Europe: this week it announced new European itineraries for 2009 onboard its two ships, Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest. Because it’s smaller cruise ships can get to bays, harbours and ports that larger ships can’t enter, there will be exciting new experiences for many passengers such as waking up to find they are sailing up the Thames to breakfast while docked alongside the Tower of London. Other specialised port calls include: • Croatia's historic walled port - Zadar • Rouen in France – giving passengers less than an hour’s journey to Paris, while larger ships have to dock at le Havre: two and a half hours travel from the city • Overnight stays on Isle of Capri Win tickets to the Independence of The Seas, launch party 20 two person tickets are up for grabs, as Virgin Radio hosts a live show featuring pop band Scouting for Girls from the deck of Independence of the Seas. The launch party will take place when the ship debuts in Southampton in April and the group will arrive by helicopter for this special one-off live performance. The gig will be broadcast live on Virgin Radio as part of Tony Hadley’s Saturday night Party Classics show and afterwards there will be an exclusive Virgin Radio after party on the ship herself. A special promotion is running on Virgin Radio’s flagship Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show to highlight the launch of the new ship and the gig giving listeners a chance to win tickets to the event and cruises on the ship
