Why take a cruise?

There are many reasons that cruise holidays are becoming more popular, and if you’re hesitating between a cruise and some other form of break, here are some reasons to take the cruise! Cruise prices have not increased dramatically in over a decade! When you adjust for inflation, you’re paying very little more in 2008 than you were in 1998, but the cruise holiday itself has become a much richer and more rewarding experience. For example, cabins, staterooms and suites have become nearly twice the size they were twenty years ago, and where you used to be offered bingo and piano bars as the staple of entertainment and a couple of deck pools, today you will find bowling alleys, rock-climbing walls, water parks, hot tubs, and a thousand other new amenities. The range of cruise options has grown exponentially. Now there are more than fifty cruise ‘brands’ within the big cruise companies, offering something for everyone. And theme cruises have become big favourites – allowing you to take a cruise where almost every activity and event is related to the passengers’ interests whether that is food, history or sport.
