Eurodam to visit South Tyneside

The vast Eurodam will be making an unusual stop during her maiden voyage – one of her ports of call is South Tyneside! She’ll visit there on 11th July, and will be welcomed by the tune of the Northumbrian Pipes, played by Richard Butler, the Duke of Northumberland's own piper. It’s the third time this year that Holland America has chosen to visit the North East of England, partly because over £7million has been invested in passenger facilities, enabling Port of Tyne to attract major cruise lines to the region. Eurodam is doling out peeks at the new facilities - the picture shows the teen area, called The Loft - which will offer a hangout for teenaged travellers and some peace and quiet for their parents!
