Celebrity Equinox lawn sports

Celebrity Cruises' newest ship is Celebrity Equinox, famous for the Lawn Club on its top deck. The grassed section is 2,130 square metres and is planted with a special grass called Agrostis stolonifera which tolerates the conditions of salt and strong winds better than other types. And there's a team of gardeners who keep it green and verdant.

What's the grass for? Well you play lawn bowls or enjoy the three-hole putting course. And there's also croquet and boules as well as the chance to simply stretch out and sunbathe on the green blades. But that's not the only innovation on Celebrity Equinox - the cruise ship is also home to a completely new form of accommodation, called AquaClass. This is for passengers who are dedicated to enjoying the spa facilities of the ship and the staterooms are located with the AquaSpa area, which allows the guests to have unlimited access to the relaxation room and the Persian Garden - which includes an aromatherapy section and a steam room - and also provides them with their own dining room called Blu which serves meals developed by chefs based at the top restaurants of Las Vegas and Miami and links into a dedicated wellness programme: Renew, meaning that travellers look and feel better - for those who like to get more immediate results, botox injections and tooth whitening systems are on offer as part of the spa package.
