MSC ship homeport change

MSC Cruise has will be changing the routes for its Musica-class ships: MSC Poesia and MSC Magnifica, in the 2010 to 2100 season. MSC Magnifica will be the newest ship in the felt, taking her first cruise after her launching on 6th March in Germany. She was going to sail the USA coast for that autumn and winter but instead she’s going straight to the Mediterranean for year round cruising there.

In addition, after spending next summer in northern Europe, the MSC Poesia will go to North America for the autumn where she will undertake MSC Cruises first season of cruises in Canada and New England before moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to offer a range of winter Caribbean cruises. Passengers who have already booked on MSC Magnifica for North American or Caribbean cruises have been told their accommodation is guaranteed on MSC Poesia instead while those who’d reserved autumn and winter 2010 Mediterranean cruises on MSC Poesia will in turn be given accommodation on MSC Magnifica for these sailings.

MSC Magnifica will make her inaugural cruise in March 2010, beginning in Venice on 20th March 2010 for a series of seven night cruises to Bari, Italy; Katakolon (Olympia), Greece; Izmir, Turkey; Istanbul, Turkey; Dubrovnik, and Croatia.
