P&O Aurora Grand Cruise

Starting on 5th January 2010, P & O’s Aurora will be sailing from Southampton on her annual Grand Voyage. Aurora is a very classic and elegant vessel – with a Lalique style atrium that is has a cascade of water to provide a calm central space. There are a number of venues, from the laid back Anderson's to the coffee and chocolates heaven of Raffles or the Crow's Nest which is a perfect venue for a sundowner drink. There’s a large air-conditioned gym and a golf simulator to and for luxury accommodation there are two luxury two-tier penthouse. And you can dine in the Marco Pierre White restaurant to experience the very best in cuisine at sea.

The trip 104 days and takes cruise passengers from the middle of winter in northern Europe to the warmer climate of Spain and the Med, before reaching the positively summery weather of Egypt and the classic Suez Canal transit. Eygypt has a lot on offer, from shopping in Cairo to visiting the Pyramids at Giza and then a day at the famous beach resort of Sharm El Sheikh.

After Egypt, there’s total immersion in Arabia including a day trip to Dubai, then down to India, Malaysia, and Singapore – a wonderful old colonial city full of beautiful architecture, fascinating souvenirs and wonderful food. Then the Grand Voyage continues to Australia, Japan, Thailand and South Africa, arriving back in Southampton on the 19th April.
