Oasis of the Seas itinerary

In case you weren’t aware, Royal Caribbean International’s newest ship will debut this month. She’s going to be the biggest cruise vessel in the world, in fact she has to have retractable funnels so that she can pass under some of the world’s most iconic bridges, otherwise she’d be too tall.

Oasis of the Seas has some fantastic ‘districts’ including the Boardwalk which contains the AquaTheater, carousel and a zip line as well as restaurants and shops. The Royal Promenade has the Rising Tide bar, which moves between three decks of the ship and the promenade itself is 19 metres wide, twice the width of the Royal Promenade on other ships. Then there’s Central Park which is a green space open to the sky with shops and restaurants.

This is how the ship will reach her public:

October 28th - Royal Caribbean will formally take delivery of the cruise liner

October 30th - Oasis leaves her shipyard in Turku.

November 11th – she arrives at her home port: Fort Lauderdale. During the next week, she will be fitted with live plants and trees which will fill the Central Park region with its green ambience.

November 30th – her naming ceremony takes place amid much publicity and a lot of TV coverage in the USA.

December 5th – Oasis of the Seas begins her official maiden voyage to the Eastern Caribbean.
