Celebrity Eclipse charity walk

On 24th April 2010, Celebrity Eclipse will be named in Southampton and the British breast cancer charity, Walk the Walk will have a 10 kilometre wealk on the same day to celebrate the fact that Walk the Walk’s founder became godmother to another Celebrity cruise ship, Equinox, in July 2009.

Called the SunWalk, the sponsored 10k power-walk should attract thousands of Southampton residents, is expected to raise more than £250,000 and will benefit all those concerned. A Celebrity spokesman said, ‘Walk the Walk has an appropriate link with Celebrity. It's about celebrating life, being positive and keeping fit, and it targets an audience of women, and we are very focused on what women want.’ But anybody is welcome to take part, everybody over thirteen years, including men and the cruise line’s senior management is expected to raise at least £100 and walk in a decorated bra. The walk will begin and end in Southampton's Mayflower Park, with Eclipse as a backdrop. Eclipse promises to be a stunning vessel – her main dining room alone has a two-story glass wine tower, stunning chandeliers, and gorgeous ocean views to give this European Style restaurant an atmosphere of style and decadence that is to be carried throughout the ship.
