If you’re a fan of TV celebrity chefs and gourmet food programmes, then you’lll want to know about the cruise being organised by the American magazine Food & Wine. It rums from May 19th to June 2nd 2010 and takes place on Oceania Cruises ship Regatta.
She sails from Europe and American passengers can get a price quote that includes their airfares to the sailing port. Then for fourteen days there’s a series of gastronomic treats, tours and visits, escorted by Food & Wine's own Anthony Giglio, including parties, dinners, seminars and tastings. The dress code is country club-casual so you don’t need to pack a tux or long dress. Passengers can expect excellent food-wine pairings at dinners and the opportunity to educate their palates about gourmet foods and fine wines from all across Europe.
Then there are the shore visits, for example: the Classically French Food & Wine Trip on which the cruise passengers will be escorted by the Executive Chef from Chez Panisse, California. Travelling from the ship, docked in Bordeaux, to Médoc, one of the most famous appellations of the area where the Chateau Dauzac winery will host a tour and lunch. The tour then moves on to Chateau Brane-Cantenac for a private tour of the property and finishing with a few hours spent touring Bordeaux.
