New cruises to Cuba

Thomson Cruises is taking the thaw in the Cuba/America relationship to heart by offering a fantastic new range of 14-night Caribbean itineraries which will included port calls in Havana, Cuba. The new 1,506-passenger, Thomson Dream, which will join the fleet in April 2010 is going to be making these new cruises new in every sense of the word.

Havana is a fantastic port call and Thomson are fully aware of this as they are allowing cruise passengers to have a two or three day stop in the port during each of the three different itineraries. The three cruises are called Caribbean Experience, Cuban Adventure and Classic Caribbean and because Thomson Dream will be sailing a repeating, 21-night route split into 14-night segments, some passengers will be disembarking and others joining the cruise at the mid-way point of other people’s holidays. Caribbean Cruise Experience – this cruise sails Barbados to Havana, visiting multiple Caribbean islands and Central American ports, including Roatan, Costa Maya and Cozumel. The itinerary features an overnight stay in Cuba. Cruise Departure dates are from December 23, 2010; January 13, and February 3 and 24, 2011.

Cuban Cruise Adventure will sail from Montego Bay to Barbados, visiting Central America and Southern and Eastern Caribbean ports. The itinerary features three days and two nights stay in Cuba, mid-cruise. Departure dates are December 30, 2010, January 20, February 10 and March 3, 2011.

Classic Cruise Caribbean – leaves Havana for Montego Bay, focusing on Caribbean islands. The itinerary begins with an overnight stay in Cuba. Departure dates are scheduled on 6th and 27th of January and February 17, 2011.

The flight to join the ship can be made from Gatwick, Birmingham or Manchester and fares begin at £1,600.
