Greek Isles from Ravenna
Date: 29 Jun 2024
Duration: 7 nights
Ship: Explorer of the Seas
Line: Royal Caribbean
The problem is one of the pod propulsion units refuses to start and so the ship is staying in Athens before heading for Genoa, without passengers, for a dry dock repair of the problem. All passengers should have disembarked today and will be home by around midnight – they are to be given a full refund and free return travel home, as well as some other forms of compensation which may include complimentary cruises on other ships, onboard credits for future bookings and upgrades on previous booking at no extra cost.
The next scheduled cruise for Voyager is supposed to set sail on 17th October from Venice, but as yet there’s no information about whether the cruise liner will be back in service in time. It’s the third time in 12 months that Voyager has had problems with its pods.
