UK ACE 2010 Cruise Convention in Southampton

From 24th to 26th June, Southampton will host the biggest cruise-related travel agent event to be held in the UK.

The convention is a prime event for travel agents, and in 2010 more than 600 are expected to attend. They will be able to tour a range of cruise liners, including newly launched Celebrity Eclipse, P&O Cruises’ Azura both of which will have been launched in April 2010, and NCL’s new baby Norwegian Epic which will be a sneak preview, as she is sailing from Southampton to New York to celebrate her naming ceremony on 2nd July. Also on show will be Cunard’s Queen Mary 2.

Other events will be offered, such as seminars, key note speakers from the cruise and hospitality industry and a conference and trade fair as well as networking events to allow agents to get to know each other, and associated holiday providers, better. A spokesman said, ‘The 2010 ACE UK Cruise Convention is set to be the biggest and best yet. It will provide an opportunity for travel agents specialising in cruise to hear the latest news and trends within the industry, visit the most modern cruise ships, attend business sessions and hear from key industry leaders.’

In addition, this will give travel agents to explore the facilities at the new £19 million Ocean Terminal in Southampton.
