Royal Caribbean Dubai offer

The somewhat oddly named Dubailand has come together with Royal Caribbean International to offer pre and post cruise excursions to the tourism destination.

Brilliance of the Seas has a series of week long cruises sailing in the region from 18th January to April. After its visit to Dubai, the ship will also visit Muscat, Fujairah and Bahrain. The new Dubailand, which is billed as a ‘tourism, leisure and entertainment destination’ has several attractions that are ready for business, Dubai Autodrome in MotorCity, the Dubai Outlet Mall in Outlet City, Global Village and Dubai Sports City, which features the Ernie Els Golf Club, the Butch Harmon School of Golf and the Cricket Stadium. Royal Caribbean International’s regional vice president Rama Rebbapragada said the cruise line had received an excellent response to Brilliance of the Seas first ever Gulf sailings with passengers from the UK, North America and Germany making up the bulk of the visitors. He added, ‘We are also seeing strong interest from the Middle East. Together with Dubailand, we look forward to offering great shore excursions and an overall outstanding vacation experience for our guests.’ Brilliance of the Seas offers ocean-facing glass elevators, mini-golf; a rock-climbing wall and the Adventure Beach waterslide.

Dubai is keeping up a strong front despite financial woes across the gulf and in Dubai in particular. On 4th January, the world's tallest skyscraper will be unveiled - Burj Dubai tower has 57 lifts, 1,044 flats, 49 floors of office space and a hotel. It can be seen from as far as 59 miles away and is estimated to have cost one billion dollars.
