MSC Cruises South American Offerings

South America has long been a popular destination with the world’s most experienced cruise passengers, owing to its spectacular scenery, the rich local cultures that can be experienced and the excellent opportunities for unique activities ashore.

With Rio de Janeiro becoming the home of the 2016 Summer Olympics, Brazil is tipped to be a ‘top’ destination in the next decade MSC Cruises offers some of the best established South American cruises, ranging from three night trips to nine night itineraries sailing from Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Buenos Aries. These cruises started in October 2009 and run through to mid-May 2010 adding up to 140 different trips throughout the period. The range of port calls on offer includes Ilhéus, Macei, Ilhabela, Ilha Grande, Punta Del Este, Búzios, Ubatuba, Recife, Fortaleza, Cabedelo and Montevidéo.

Many of these ports are famous for their dance, drink and festivals, and to build on these shore experiences, MSC Cruises is offering 20 special themed sailings which include:

• Dance, which will take place on MSC Opera on 7th February, MSC Armonia on 11th February and MSC Orchestra on 13th March

• Music, will we be a special feature of the cruise on MSC Armonia on 10th March

• Fitness is the focus on MSC Orchestra on 6th February and MSC Opera on 21st February

• Fantastic World (which is a magic based experienced for both children and adults) on MSC Orchestra on 23rd January

• Fashion is the theme for MSC Orchestra sailing on 30th January

• Food & Drink is the focus of the cruise on MSC Armonia which sails on 20th February
