On 15th January Royal Caribbean International’s ‘Brilliance of the Seas’ will be making her first ever visit to the port of Aqaba, as part of a 14-night repositioning cruise on her way to the Arabian Gulf.
She left Spain and travelled to Alexandria in Egypt, on her way to Aqaba and she’ll leave the port to start a series of cruises around the Arabian Gulf from her new home-port of Dubai. These cruises are seven nights in duration and will be visiting Muscat, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. Brilliance of the Seas is expected to bring 32,000 guests to the Arabian Gulf in her four month season, and the passengers will enjoy a range of experiences from sun and sea through to desert excursions, cosmopolitan city life full of culture and luxury and Arabian hospitality.
There are also four night ‘Arabian Explorer’ cruise-tour extensions to the standard cruise, allowing people a deeper experience of Dubai and Fujairah – which is the only emirate on the Gulf of Oman. Cruise-tour guests have a tour director escort who will help them explore their destinations in four-wheel drive vehicles capable of tackling the sand dunes and mountains en route as well as touring mosques and picturesque villages where there will be camel racing and a sunset dinner at a Bedouin camp as well as an overnight stay in Dubai for shopping and an ‘oasis’ dinner.
