Themed cruises round up

Neil Diamond Cruise - Sailing on the Celebrity Summit, this week long Neil Diamond Tribute Cruise, sails from Bayonne, USA on 2nd May 2010 and visits Newport, Rhode Island, and Bermuda. The cast of ‘Hot August Nights’, the Neil Diamond tribute show, and guest artists from Diamond's actual band will be on board and activities include a ‘Sing Like Neil’ karaoke contest, , trivia games, Q&A's and photo opportunities with band members, as well as a concert with tribute artist Barrie Cunningham backed by the Diamond Girls Singers.

Cinema Cruise - A no-holds-barred look at movie-making is on offer from Cunard. Sailing on 29th April, on Queen Mary 2 from New York to Southampton, this cruise is a partnership between Cunard and the Tribeca Film Festival. It features screenings and discussions with actors, directors, documentary makers and screenwriters. Guest and screenings for the April cruise have yet to be announced.

Country Music Cruise - The Bellamy Brothers take over on MSC Cruises’ Poesia for a Country Music cruise sailing on 20th February 2010. Leaving Fort Lauderdale for a visit to the Caribbean, this cruise features Howard and David Bellamy who have had more than 50 country music hits over three decades ‘Let Your Love Flow’. It also offers line-dancing lessons and country music karaoke, and visits the ports of San Juan, Philipsburg, St. Maarten, Tortola and Nassau. If you have young family members, it’s good to know that children aged 17 and younger sail free when sharing a stateroom with two full fare paying adults.
