Group travel offers from Fred Olsen

Fred Olsen has recently published a new groups brochure focused on group organisers.

There are special groupsaver fares on offer and there are several other offers to consider if you’re planning a group or family holiday such as space for group organisers (a minimum group size applies to this offer) as well as the fact that Fred Olsen has smaller and more ‘personal’ ships which give group holidays a swifter and more sociable atmosphere from the start as crew swiftly learn the names, preferences, interests and habits of each group. International Sales Manager Kate Wooldridge says, ‘Fred Olsen Cruise Lines is targeting more group business with the publication of its first groups brochure …Our company is committed to group leaders; we are able to assist in a number of ways helping to build communication and confidence. It is the initial step in a long relationship with the organizer who can expect expertise and cooperation from our traditional and trusted line.’

Fred Olsen ships range in size from 804 passengers to 1,350 which is still tiny compared to the mega liners and the classic style of Fred Olsen vessels means there are plenty of cosy areas in which a group can be accommodated to meet or conduct activities. The brochure also has some group support features such as dedicated group travel support to help with booking and while on board, supporting promotional material for group members, dedicated assistance with travel arrangements to and from the ship, free on-board lectures, late night buffets, welcome and farewell drinks parties, and the bonus of no extra service charges added to guests’ on-board drinks. There are a range of additional options such as on-board spending credits and cabin upgrades and the possible exclusive use of onboard facilities such as card room lecture areas. The line is also offering exclusive group shore tours on request.

Finally, groups can participate in two special interest Fred Olsen programmes: The ArtsClub offers the opportunity to learn a range of activities from ballroom dancing through to choral singing, and art classes while Flagship Golf provides professional instruction and greens play through the journey.
