European ports of call to look out for:

North American destinations of note:
L’Anse-aux-Meadows National Historic Site in Newfoundland is a bit of a mouthful, but it’s also a UNESCO World Heritage Site – packed with archaeological information about the people who lived there who are the earliest known inhabitants of the Americas, it also has a strong Viking history.
Rockland, Maine is famous for one thing – lobsters! But it’s also a pretty port with rocky scenery and a lovely harbour that often contains tall ships.
Victoria, British Columbia is known for its gardens with thrive on the mild climate offered by Vancouver island and the harbour has many whale watching boats that take cruise passengers out to have close sight of the behemoths of the sea.
