Enchantment of the Seas to Bahamas

One of the six ships of Royal Caribbean's 'Vision' class, Enchantment of the Seas is the only one to undergo major structural alterations so far.  She was cut in half, and a ready built, pre fabricated mid section was added, raising her tonnage to over 90,000.

This section included new cabins, more deck space, and a unique bungee jumping installation that, thus far, has not been replicated across the fleet.

Enchantment of the Seas has the large, upper deck Viking Crown lounge that is the fleet trademark; it's a glass walled eyrie, offering stunning, 270 degree views from fifteen storeys high. Though under used, it's a great place to watch the sunset with a cocktail or two.

Another signature feature to survive the 'chop and stretch' is the beautiful, multi level Atrium Lobby. It's a wonderful concoction of glass, sheet marble, and brilliantly burnished brass handrails. This is the first thing you see on entering the Enchantment of the Seas, and it certainly gives this ship a quite considerable 'wow' factor.

Cabins are larger than on the RCCL ships of old, and run from pretty, well primped inside and ocean view rooms, through to spacious balcony cabins, and then right up to some of the largest and most expansive suites of any mainstream ship afloat. While all of the rooms are hugely practical, obviously the comfort factor increases the higher you go up the range.

Cuisine is mainly international, with many American favourites served up in the swish, twin level, window walled main dining room. There's a large buffet on the upper deck for all main meals that is open almost around the clock, and an extra charge steak house that offers outstanding food, style and service for that truly special occasion.

And, as a welcome relief from all the fun and buzz of the main pool, area there's a cool, classy Solarium with its own pool, hot tubs and sliding glass roof. In theory it is adults' only, but in practice that does not always quite play out.
